Best Time to Trek in Tibet
The ideal seasons for Tibet trekking are from May to October when weather is most stable. Summer months offer warmer temperatures and clearer skies, while spring brings wildflowers across the plateau. Winter treks are possible but face extreme cold and snow at high altitudes.
Altitude acclimatization is crucial for all Tibet treks. We recommend arriving in Kathmandu or Lhasa several days before beginning any trek to allow your body to adjust to the high altitude.
